Maximize Tax Savings for Energy Efficient Buildings; Rebates Possible, Too

45L Tax Credit

Energy Efficient Home Credit

The Energy Efficient Home Credit known as 45L provides a tax credit for each qualifying new energy efficient residence built by an eligible contractor between August 8, 2005 and December 31, 2013. The tax credit typically amounts to $2,000 per residence, and there is no restriction on the property being used as the claimer’s principal residence, meaning multiple residences can be claimed by developers and contractors.

Dixon Hughes Goodman, in partnership with leading energy engineers, has the technical knowledge and experience to deliver the proper certification and documentation needed to qualify for this credit.
